Course Overview
This course provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to safely control traffic in Western Australia in accordance with Main Roads WA, WorkSafe WA requirements, and relevant Australian Standards. It is designed for anyone who will be required to manage vehicle and pedestrian movement on or around roadworks, construction sites, civil projects, and utility works.
Participants will learn how to operate as a Traffic Controller under approved Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) and Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS), ensuring the safety of workers, road users, and the general public while maintaining efficient traffic flow.

Entry Requirements
To ensure the quality training outcomes, all candidates need to demonstrate sufficient academic capability to complete a unit of competency. These requirements are as following:

Students must be aged 18 or older

Ability to read, write and understand English (an LLN test will be conducted prior to comencing the course)

Students must bring a Photo I.D.

Wear steel cap boots

Students must bring a hi-visibility vest (if you do not have one, one will be provided on the day of the course)

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) & Credit Transfer:
Pal Education has a recognition of prior learning (RPL) process in place for students who wish to have their prior skills, knowledge, experience and education formally recognised. All students enrolling in the course are entitled to apply for recognition of prior learning (RPL) or credit transfer.
RPL allows the student to be recognised for their skills and knowledge gained from previous study or work experience without repeating the training.
Credit Transfer provides the student with agreed and consistent credit outcomes for components of a qualification based on identified equivalence in content and learning outcomes between matched qualifications. Students will be exempted from the relevant unit of competency who are awarded credit Transfer. Students must submit a verified Certificate or Statement of Attainment issues by RTO for formal recognition.
