This unit includes the skills and knowledge required operate a front end loader to load, haul and distribute materials. This unit applies to those working in site based roles and will provide you the skills and knowledge required to: 

  • Plan and prepare for wheeled front end loader operations.

  • Operate front end loader in line with established requirements.

  • Attach, secure, lift, carry and place materials to complete work activity.

  • Prepare to relocate the front end loader.

  • Conduct housekeeping activities.

Entry Requirements:

To ensure the quality training outcomes, all candidates need to demonstrate sufficient academic capability to complete a unit of competency. These requirements are as following:

  • Students must be aged 18 or older

  • Ability to read, write and understand English

  • Students must bring a Photo I.D.

  • Wear steel cap boots

  • Students must bring a hi-visibility vest

Course Fee and Duration:

The course fee is $850

If you are eligible for the Construction Training fund (CTF), you pay only $602

 

Course duration is 1 day.

Course Delivery Mode:

The course will be delivered face-to-face mode for theory and practical training and assessments

 

Assessment (Competency-based Assessments):

Assessment Tasks may include various theory, practical assessments and observation presentation.

 

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)/ Credit Transfer:

Pal Education has a recognition of prior learning (RPL) process in place for students who wish to have their prior skills, knowledge, experience and education formally recognised. All students enrolling in the course are entitled to apply for recognition of prior learning (RPL) or credit transfer. 

 

RPL allows the student to be recognised for their skills and knowledge gained from previous study or work experience without repeating the training.

Credit Transfer provides the student with agreed and consistent credit outcomes for components of a qualification based on identified equivalence in content and learning outcomes between matched qualifications. Students will be exempted from the relevant unit of competency who are awarded credit Transfer. Students must submit a verified Certificate or Statement of Attainment issues by RTO for formal recognition.
